The Junior League of Greenville, NC is a volunteer-run organization of women committed to civic leadership, connection, and service. We create opportunities for women to grow their skills, contribute meaningfully, and lead with purpose.

Our story in Greenville began in 2010 with the founding of the Junior Women’s Association. In 2017, that foundation became part of the larger movement through association with AJLI. The Association of Junior Leagues International, a global network of nearly 300 Leagues united by a shared mission.

Today, we continue building on that local legacy through leadership, service, and collaboration rooted in Pitt County. Our members turn leadership into action through hands-on service, volunteer engagement, and community collaboration that support children, families, and food-access efforts across Pitt County.

We are proud to honor the leaders who helped shape the Junior League of Greenville, NC, from the women who started JWA in 2010 to the League leaders who continue carrying the mission forward today.

  • MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

    Jamie Lynn Cash

    President, 2026–2027

Welcome to our Junior League year.

There’s something meaningful about beginning again. Not from scratch, but from where we’ve been, what we’ve learned, and what we now carry forward together. In Greenville, that looks like community built not just through service, but through consistency. Showing up, learning, and leading in ways that last.

Our League has always been rooted here. In our neighborhoods, our schools, and the organizations working every day to support families across Pitt County. While there are many nonprofits doing important work in our community, one need continues to surface time and time again: the need for prepared, confident leaders who are ready to step in, step up, and sustain that work.

That is where the Junior League stands apart.

We are not only supporting the community, we are developing the people who sustain it.

For me, that mission is personal. My work in equal access to education and nonprofit development has shown me that meaningful change does not happen without individuals who are willing to take responsibility for it.

I have had the opportunity to both found and support organizations focused on strengthening public education, as well as advocate for Exceptional Children programs. Helping families access resources, understand their options, and navigate complex systems with confidence. In every space, one truth remains constant: the strength of any mission is directly tied to the strength of its leadership.

That is why our focus this year is simple and intentional. Mission Ready.

Not as a slogan, but as a standard.

Being Mission Ready means we come prepared. Prepared to lead, to serve, and to grow. Prepared to support one another and to step into roles that may be unfamiliar but necessary.

Prepared to contribute our time, thoughts, effort, and our perspective.

The training we gain through the League is not theoretical; it is built through action. Through committee leadership, hands-on community impact work, and through a willingness to learn, even when that process is challenging. These experiences do not stay within the League. They extend outward. Into the boards we will serve on, the organizations we will strengthen, and the community we will continue to shape.

Greenville may not be defined by scale, but it is defined by connection. And when we lead locally, with intention and consistency, the impact reaches further than we often see.

This year, I invite each of you to consider what it means to show up Mission Ready for yourself, for this League, and for the community we serve. Because when we are prepared, aligned, and committed, we are building something that lasts.

Thank you for the time, energy, and leadership each of you brings to the Junior League. I am honored to serve alongside you in the year ahead.

    With love and appreciation,

    Jamie Lynn Cash
