Interested in Joining?
Membership is an opportunity to serve Pitt County, grow as a civic leader, and build meaningful relationships with women who care about strengthening the community around them. Whether you are new to volunteer service or looking for a place to deepen your leadership, this is a space to learn, contribute, and grow with purpose.
Is Membership a Good Fit for You?
Membership may be a good fit if you are looking for a place to:
- Serve the Greenville and Pitt County community
- Build confidence as a leader
- Learn more about nonprofit and civic work
- Connect with women who value service and growth
- Develop skills through hands-on experience
- Support meaningful community partnerships
- Contribute to something larger than yourself
What Membership Means
Membership is more than attending meetings or completing service hours. It is an opportunity to develop practical leadership skills through hands-on service, committee work, training, collaboration, and community engagement.
Members learn how to plan, organize, communicate, advocate, manage projects, support community partners, and lead with confidence. The work is local, but the leadership developed here carries into workplaces, classrooms, nonprofits, boardrooms, civic spaces, and everyday life.
You do not need to join with every skill already in place. Membership is designed to help women grow through experience, mentorship, service, and shared responsibility.
Ways Members Engage
Members participate in the League through a variety of opportunities, including:
- Community service projects that support local needs across Pitt County
- Done in a Day opportunities that provide short-term, hands-on volunteer support
- Committee service where members help plan, organize, and carry out League work
- Leadership development through training, mentorship, and practical experience
- General Membership Meetings that keep members connected, informed, and engaged
