Organizations interested in requesting League volunteers or inviting League participation should submit the request in writing for review.

Because our members are volunteers with professional, family, civic, and community responsibilities, advance planning is essential. Submission of a request does not guarantee participation. Requests are reviewed based on:

• Mission alignment
• Community benefit
• Member availability
• Safety and appropriateness of the volunteer role
• Timeline and planning needs
• Clarity of expectations
• Board approval
• Capacity during the League year

The Junior League of Greenville does not accept verbal requests or informal commitments as approved League obligations.

All volunteer service, community event participation, nonprofit collaboration, and public-facing League involvement must be approved through the appropriate League process before it is confirmed.

No individual member, chair, committee, or volunteer may commit the Junior League of Greenville to provide:

• Funds
• Sponsorships
• Grants
• Equipment
• Supplies
• In-kind donations
• Volunteers
• Event participation
• Public support
• Future partnership commitments

Any request involving the League’s name, volunteers, calendar, members, resources, or reputation must be reviewed and approved before the League can participate. This process helps us ensure that every commitment is mission-aligned, well-planned, respectful of member capacity, and consistent with the League’s values.

To be considered, community volunteer requests should be submitted as early as possible.

Volunteer Service Requests

Please submit requests at least 6 to 8 weeks before the requested service date.

Community Event Participation

Requests for the League to attend, table, speak, volunteer, or participate in a community event should be submitted at least 8 weeks in advance.

Large Projects or Recurring Volunteer Opportunities

Requests involving recurring service, multiple dates, larger volunteer needs, or significant planning should be submitted at least 10 to 12 weeks in advance.

Last-Minute Requests

The League may not be able to accommodate urgent or last-minute requests due to member schedules, calendar planning, and Board review requirements.

Strong partnerships are built through clarity, respect, and shared purpose. Community partners requesting League volunteer involvement should be prepared to provide:

• Organization name and contact information
• Event or project name
• Date, time, and location
• Number of volunteers requested
• Description of volunteer duties
• Expected time commitment
• Parking and arrival instructions
• Safety considerations or physical requirements
• On-site point of contact
• Any required forms, waivers, or training
• Explanation of how the project benefits the community

We want our members to arrive prepared, confident, and ready to serve. Clear information allows us to communicate opportunities responsibly and honor both our partners and our volunteers.
